Friends and Enemies: The Philippines and Cuba during the Cold War

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first bilateral document signed between the Philippines and Cuba, the Treaty of Friendship which was signed on 03 September 1952 in Washington D.C. by former Philippine Foreign Secretary Carlos P. Romulo and then-Ambassador of Cuba to the United States, Mr. Aurelio Concheso.   3. This is more interesting than the latest James Bond story :)

    So Imelda did something good after all.. I am not a fan of her ... but she indeed has a special force, not just to Fidel Castro but to so many women... that special force of collecting so many shoes... I am sure Kris Aquino is also affected by that force ... so do I :)

    The presidential election is coming soon... should we consider who has the prettiest wife? :) ... good thing about this criteria, this might be the only criteria than can make one promininet candidate to lose (because he has all means and money to win :)... Mar Roxas might win with this criteria although his wife cannot even maintain a diplomatic relationship with Anderson Cooper .... should we have a female president then?

  5. It was not just Marcos who sent a wife when there was diplomatic issue, or shall I say, diplomatic controversy. Peron sent Evita to Spain to meet with Francisco Franco who was a notorious dictator
